  For most of 2017, you will be unable to drive the full length of the scenic Highway 1 along the coast of Big Sur until the cracked Pfeiffer Canyon Bridge is completely rebuilt.
  
  You can still visit McWay Falls & Ewoldsen Trail, Esalen Hot Springs and Limekiln Falls & Kilns Trails by driving north from Los Angeles.
  
  And you can reach Pfeiffer Beach and Sykes Hot Springs by driving south from San Francisco.
