Embark on a 0.7 miles (1.1 km) loop trail that will take you to a narrow gorge of 30-foot (9 m) high cliffs that are resplendently covered with moss, miniature waterfalls and 7 different types of ferns whose ancestry dates back 325 million years.
As you walk through the canyon, you may spy amphibians and Pacific giant salamanders going about their day in this verdant paradise.
Wear shoes and pants you won’t mind getting wet.
Fun fact: A scene in Jurassic Park II was filmed here in the mid 1990s.
