Kings Canyon is home to the world’s second largest tree, General Grant, as well as its eponymous canyon, which is one of the deepest in North America.
The park boasts hundreds of miles of trails that meander past lakes, meadows, waterfalls and breathtaking mountain vistas. Highlights include Cedar Grove, Grizzly Falls (pictured) and the Kings Canyon Scenic Byway.
Admission $30 per vehicle for a 7-day pass (note: the pass is good for entry into both Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Park)

Tent/RV camping $18+/night
If you plan to do backcountry camping, a wilderness permit is required. Permits are $15, late May – late Sept; free the rest of the year.
