In March and April, park visitation is at its peak, when the weather is comfortable and wildflowers are in bloom.
Campgrounds usually fill early in the day. So come early for a first-come, first-served campsite.
Otherwise, be sure to make arrangements for camping or lodging outside the park before you drive out to Joshua Tree.
Also, the rangers suggest you enter the park at the North or South Entrance to avoid car traffic at the West Entrance.
