Wineries and vineyards have been a mainstay in Paso Robles since the 1790s.Located in California’s Central Coast wine region, it is home to over 180 wineries and, in 2013, was feted as Wine Enthusiast magazine’s ‘Wine Region of the Year.’
With a fun and laid back vibe, Paso Robles makes for a memorable afternoon of wine and conversation with other travelers, many of whom will be California locals. It is situated 1 hour southeast of Big Sur and 3.5 hours northwest of Los Angeles.
While you’re there, check out Opolo Vineyards, Castoro Cellars and Peachy Canyon, which are all award-winning vintners of premium Zinfandel.
